Purpose: To carry out the biomechanical analyses of the alternatives of fixed partial prosthesis for a situation where the available abutments are two implants in distal and natural teeth in mesial. Report of a case: Female patient of 51 years old partially edentulous inferior with the presence of free seat because of absence of 35, 36, 37 and 38. Due to the location of the inferior alveolar nerve it was impossible to place an implant in the area of the 35, however it was possible in the area of 36 and 37. Which will be the most convenient design for the fixed prosthesis that allows to restore the edentulous space corresponding to the 35, to restore the implant located at the 36 and 37, and to ensure a good long term clinical prognosis? Conclusion: The most conservative alternative for this case was a fixed partial prosthesis in cantiliver combined metal and fiber-reinforced composite, where the connector and the pontic are free of metal allowing to soften the occlusal forces transmitted to implants.
