Abstract
The Malignant Melanoma is a serious cutaneous cancer, its frequency has rapidly increased the last years. Because the limited success of the chemotherapy the tretment of the Melanoma we proposed to demonstrate the action of Piroxicam, a non-esterioid analgesic, over the Melanoma Bl6Fl, an experimental tumor widely used the study of cancer cells. We proposed the hipothesis that Piroxicam administrated female mice of C5713L/6 inoculated with melanoma Bl6Fl has an antitomural action. We used 33 female mice of C57BL/6 divided two groups; one group was treated with a daily dose of Piroxicam (8m/kg) and control group that received destilated water solution with adition of the vehicle of the drug administrated. The results were anailzed using the Student t test. It was demonstrated that Piroxicam did not inhibit the development of Melanoma B l6F1. It increased the daily growing in situ of the primary tumor and the extension of primary tumor disected, probably because of the inhitory effects of the prostaglandines over the ceil replication of tile MelanomaBl6Fl. We conclude with these results that Piroxicam stimulates the Melanoma Bl6F1 development female mice C57BL/6.
