New species of Pleurothallis from Panama, Pleurothallis anthurioides, and from Ecuador, Pleurothallis kaynagata, are described and illustrated. The new species are distinguished based on their morphological distinctness from similar species. Pleurothallis kaynagata represents a new addition to Pleurothallis sect. Abortivae, which was previously thought to be monotypic. Acronia rinkei is transferred to Pleurothallis and provided with a new name, Pleurothallis neorinkei, and locality data.
