Retratos de la monja alférez doña Catalina de Erauso
Abstract
El presente artículo analiza el retrato al óleo de Catalina de Erauso, también llamada "Monja alférez", realizado en 1630 y atribuido al artista español Hans Van der Hamen. El objetivo es hacer dialogar este retrato con otros realizados desde la escritura, para poner de manifiesto el modo cómo se devela u oculta lo femenino. Me interesa develar el cuerpo desde la imagen y la palabra mediante la figura de la relación entre memoria y olvido.
This article analyses the oil portrait of Catalina de Erauso, also called Nun Alferez, painted in 1630, attributed to the Spanish artist Hans Van der Hamen. I lay in dialogue this portrait with others made from writing, to highlight the way in which the feminine is revealed or hidden. I am interested to reveal the body from image and word using the figure of the relationship between memory and oblivion.
