La Nueva Canción Latinoamericana en su forma y contenido. Bases ideológicas, principios y propuestas de orden social (1960- 1970)

Abstract

El movimiento de la Nueva Cancion Latinoamericana, emergio y se fue consolidando durante los sesenta y setenta del siglo XX; fue una manifestacion cultural confi gurada sobre la base de una ideologia caracterizada por el espiritu revolucionario, el rescate del acervo musical latinoamericano, la lucha antiimperialista y el anticolonialismo. Todos esos aspectos ideologicos de la Nueva Cancion, permitieron el debate acerca de las denominaciones, motes y calificativos con los que fue identificado este movimiento musical. Nuestro articulo, ha sido elaborado en torno al analisis de los diversos nombres y definiciones que recibio la cancion como promotora de un mensaje social. Abstract The “Nueva Cancion” movement of Latin America emerged and became stronger and stronger during the ‘60s and ‘70s of the twentieth century. It was a cultural manifestation based on the ideology of a revolutionary spirit, the rescue of the Latin American musical heritage, a struggle against imperialism and anti-colonialism. All these ideological aspects of the “Nueva Cancion” brought about the debates on the names, nicknames and epithets that characterized this musical movement. Our paper was developed based on an analysis of the various names and definitions that these songs were given as promoters of this social message.
