The image of Latin American soap operas seems frivolous, ironic, comedy and evenridiculous extravagances. However, in this analysis, Omar Rincon demonstrates acomplex reality reflected in the melodrama. Inquire about the standardized role ofwomen, men, structure, and gender. Observe how the woman represents strength, admiration and is the one who manages and leads the man in making decisions; evenwhen she is hidden by the standards of a typical novel. Man, on the contrary, byshowing himself to be macho, strong, confident, and conquering, ends up reflectinginsecurity and cowardice, and finds salvation through woman. Analyze the presence ofclass conflict and the desire for social ascent in imaginary and unreal situations takingaspects of daily life that can hook the viewer.
