dc.description.abstractThe synthesis and structural characterization of one benzilic acid cesium derivative is present. This complex was prepared in aqueous media and characterized by mean of powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallize in an orthorhombic cell with space group Pbca , with a packing governed by hydrogen bond interactions of the type O--H···O. Around the cesium central atom is formed a coordination sphere of 7 oxygen atoms from 4 benzilate molecules and 2 water molecules. The efficiency of packing is 76.6%.
