Abstract

The article presents a new drachm of the Thracian king Rhoemetalces I. The ruler’s silver coins are extremely rare and each newly discovered specimen is of interest and adds new data to the ruler’s silver coinage. The specimen to which the article is dedicated is the sixteenth known drachm of the Thracian king Rhoemetalces I. The minting of the series took place in Byzantium and dates to the early years of the ruler’s reign.
