The suppression of operational problems in the petroleum production, such as the foam generation in the gas separation stages requires the study of the factors that influence in their formation and stability. In the present work, we study the influence of the environment aromaticity (crude-solvent system), the viscosity on the foamability of three Venezuelan crude oils. Kerosene and toluene were used like solvents. The results demonstrate that the foamability is greater in poor aromatic content environment. Additionally, results shown that there is a maximum in the foamability as the viscosity increases.
