LA FUNCIÓN DE LA ABUELA EN LA FAMILIA MONOPARENTAL FEMENINA. ESTUDIO DE CASO

Abstract

La presente investigación se realizó con el propósito de describir las funciones que cumplen la abuela dentro de una familia monoparental femenina en la ciudad de La Paz. Se toma como inicio el concepto de abuelidad mediante el cual las participantes de esta investigación se identifican. La información se obtiene a través de la triangulación de tres fuentes distintas: la entrevista a profundidad, la entrevista grupal las narraciones por medio de cartas. La investigación abordo la problemática de la familia monoparental y la implicancia de la abuela en estas. Esta investigación se fundamentó en la teoría de Minuchin, en relación a que la familia es considerada un sistema dinámico en constante cambio y de igual manera se manejaron conceptos de rol y función dentro de la dinámica familiar. Dentro de los objetivos alcanzados, se logró identificar la existencia de una doble función que cumplen las abuelas dentro de este tipo de familias con el fin de reorganizar esta dinámica familiar alterada por la ausencia del padre. Se pudo concluir que las funciones de la madre dentro de la familia son tomadas por la abuela por un determinado tiempo o en algunos casos todo el tiempo que sea necesario con el fin de seguir adelante con el desarrollo de una familia organizada y por un bien común que es el desarrollo adecuado de los nietos.

The present research was carried out with the purpose of describing the functions that the grandmother fulfills within a female single parent family in the city of La Paz. The concept of abuelity is taken as the beginning, through which the participants in this research identify themselves. The information is obtained through the triangulation of three different sources: the interview in depth, the group interview and the narrations by means of letters. The research deals with the problems of the single parent family and the implications of the grandmother in these. This research was based on the theory of Minuchin, in relation to the fact that the family is considered a dynamic system in constant change and similarly they managed concepts of role and function within the family dynamics. Within the objectives reached, it was possible to identify the existence of a double function that the grandmothers within this type of families fulfill in order to reorganize this family dynamics altered by the absence of the father. It was concluded that the functions of the mother within the family are taken by the grandmother for a certain time or in some cases as long as necessary in order to move forward with the development of an organized family and for a common good Which is the proper development of the grandchildren.
