Abstract

Scientific journals are the main source of original information to transmitknowledge among researchers and the scientific community. Investigating andpublishing an article in this category are two closely related activities; it isnecessary to identify and know how the different publications observed withina scientific journal are structured, such as: the original articles are obtained fromdescriptive or experimental studies, letters to the editor, brief communications,review articles and clinical cases. The update of this type of topics is based ondidactically facilitating both students and professionals in the health sciencesabout the writing, presentation and publication of this type of articles, thuspromoting the development of this competence.
