Impacto social de la cátedra de Estudios Olímpicos Isla De La Juventud (Cuba)

Abstract

El Olimpismo antiguo ha sido fuente de inspiracion para muchas personalidades de la filosofia a lo largo de toda la vida, pues los griegos supieron dar a la actividad fisica un lugar educativo, en la formacion de su pueblo buscando un equilibrio entre el cuerpo y el alma de sus practicantes, con un profundo caracter clasista, religioso y militar. Tambien veian en la actividad fisica un vehiculo cultural, pues durante la celebracion de los Juegos Olimpicos, que significaban la maxima expresion de la actividad del musculo jamas vista en ninguna civilizacion, se reunian los mas afamados filosofos, retoricos, oradores, hombres de negocios y todo tipo de personas libres de esa sociedad, convirtiendo dichos Juegos en una fiesta cultural y deportiva. Todo este legado ha llegado hasta nuestros dias, gracias a la obra de Pierre de Fredy, el padre del Olimpismo moderno. En Cuba estas ideas se han convertido en realidad gracias a la obra de la revolucion, la Isla de la Juventud no esta ajena a esta filosofia, pues cuenta con una Catedra de Estudios Olimpicos, en coordinacion con la Academia Olimpica Cubana, por lo que es objetivo de esta investigacion dar a conocer la imagen y evolucion que ha tenido la misma en el territorio pinero. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The ancient Olympics has been a source of inspiration for many personalities of philosophy throughout life, as the Greeks were able to give the place an educational exercise in training your people looking for a balance between body and soul its practitioners, with a deep class, religious and military character. Also seen in physical activity a cultural vehicle, because during the celebration of the Olympic Games, which meant the ultimate expression of muscle activity ever seen in any civilization, the most famous philosophers, rhetoricians, orators, businessmen gathered and all kinds of people free of that society, turning the Games into a cultural and sports festival. This legacy has survived to this day, thanks to the work of Pierre de Fredy, the father of modern Olympism. In Cuba these ideas have become reality thanks to the work of the revolution, the Island of Youth is no stranger to this philosophy, which has Olympic Studies Professorship, in coordination with the Cuban Olympic Academy, so it is objective of this research to present the image and developments that have taken it in the pinero territory.
