The article intends to pose an alternative to the dominant ideas about peace and conflict, form an eastern perspective. Starting with a review of the liberal conception of peace, it invites the reader to adopt a new vision of conflict resolution through its acceptation and the knowledge of the self and the other. It uses also Gadamer’s hermeneutics to clear this path of transcending conflict.
