Caracterización del aparato reproductor de llamas (Lama glama, Linnaeus 1758) machos en Turco Provincia Sajama Departamento de Oruro

Abstract

Se determinó la correlación el peso vivo y medidas biométricas del largo y el ancho testicular, la adherencia pene-prepucial en llamas machos por edad (1, 2, 3 y 4 años) y algunas medidas de su aparato reproductor. Se evaluó 81 animales en el matadero de Turco, Oruro, de 1, 2, 3 y 4 años de edad, Se determinó un promedio de 77.69±8.85 kg de PV, en las variables de ancho y el largo testicular (derecho e izquierdo): Largo testicular derecho (LTD) 4.27±0.48 cm y 3.81±0.48 cm sin el escroto, ancho testicular derecho (ATD) 2.41±0.35 cm y 2.18±0.24 cm sin el escroto, largo testicular izquierdo (LTI) 4.21±0.50 y 3.77±0.42 sin el escroto, ancho testicular izquierdo (ATI) 2.36±0.25 y 2.17±0.25 sin el escroto. En llamas de 1 y 2 años el peso tuvo una alta influencia tanto en el largo y ancho testicular sin el escroto, y no significativo a los 3 y 4 años. A la edad de 1 año se observó que el 33% presentaron adherencia completa, 4% adherencia parcial y 63% presentó libre de adherencia. En edades de 2, 3 y 4 años el 100% de los animales observados estaban libres de adherencia.
