Historia del ecuavoley: evolución cultural

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como finalidad mostrar la historia del deporte tradicional ecuatoriano "ecuavoley" su impacto social y cultural, tomando en cuenta la importancia que tiene actualmente esta actividad deportiva dentro y fuera de Ecuador. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo conocer el origen y época en la que se comenzó a usar el término "ecuavoley", así como también las provincias en las que se inició su práctica. La investigación utilizó como técnica el análisis de información cualitativa, fundamentada a partir de cuatro fases científicas, preparatoria, de campo, análisis histórico documental e informativa. Utilizando como herramienta la interpretación empírica, y como técnicas la observación y análisis de documentos, videos y fotos, además de entrevistas a profundidad no estructuradas, con preguntas abiertas, aplicando finalmente la observación directa intensiva y extensiva. Obteniendo como resultado que el ecuavoley se origina en las provincias ecuatorianas de Imbabura y Loja a inicios del siglo XIX, comenzando a llamarlo ecuavoley a partir de 1930.

The purpose of this article is to show the history of the traditional Ecuadorian sport "ecuavoley" its social and cultural impact, taking into account the importance that this sporting activity currently has inside and outside of Ecuador. The objective of this work was to know the origin and time in which the term "ecuavoley" began to be used, as well as the provinces in which its practice began. The research used as a technique the analysis of qualitative information, based on four scientific phases, preparatory, field, documentary and informative historical analysis. Using empirical interpretation as a tool, and observation and analysis of documents, videos and photos as techniques, as well as unstructured in-depth interviews, with open questions, finally applying intensive and extensive direct observation. Obtaining as a result that the ecuavoley originates in the Ecuadorian provinces of Imbabura and Loja at the beginning of the 19th century, beginning to cali it ecuavoley from 1930.
