espanolLa asonada del 30 de septiembre en Ecuador, con la Policia sublevada y el presidente retenido durante horas, abrio un interesante debate: ?se trato de un simple motin policial gatillado por cuestiones salariales, desorganizado y sin conduccion? ?O fue un golpe de Estado orientado a deponer a Rafael Correa y neutralizar el proceso de «revolucion ciudadana»? El articulo analiza en detalle los acontecimientos, el rol de los diferentes actores y sus intereses, y plantea algunos temas de fondo que ayudan a entender mejor la situacion, como el malestar de la Policia, el estilo de gestion de Correa y la desconexion entre el Ejecutivo y buena parte de las organizaciones sociales. EnglishThe coup of 30th September in Ecuador,which saw a police uprising and the President detained for hours, has led to an interesting debate: was it a simple police mutiny triggered by pay issues, that was disorganized and without leadership? Or was it a coup d�etat aimed at deposing Rafael Correa and neutralizing the «citizen�s revolution» process? The article analyzes the events in detail, the role of the different actors and their interests, and plants some background themes, which help to better understand the situation, such as the police unrest, Correa�s style of management, and the lack of connection between the Executive and a large part of the social organizations.
