Abstract

The curricular system of aesthetic education for the basic education in Venezuela has some disadvantages in relation to other subjects there included. Since it is not considered a core subject, some of its contents are not studied well enough. Sometimes, they are not even taught. The results of a recent study made on the State of Merida are shown in this article. Some activities and advances made on the subject by teachers of aesthetic education are shown. Results show that this subject still causes almost no interest for basic education curriculum.
