Plan de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial de una corporación minera

Abstract

La práctica de la minería trae consigo conflictos de intereses con las comunidades en las cuales desarrollan sus procesos. La Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) de la corporación minera, en Perú, se convierte en la fórmula mediante la cual la comunidad, el Estado y la empresa minera puedan interactuar y lograr relaciones sostenibles, responsables y positivas con el fin de reducir el clima de conflicto; así como también contribuir a mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas. Este artículo presenta las características de un Plan de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (PRSE) para atender las necesidades detectadas en 25 trabajadores de una corporación minera y 75 miembros de la comunidad aledaña en la cual ejecuta sus actividades la corporación. Los resultados muestran que los trabajadores consideran la necesidad de mayor capacitación y la comunidad manifiesta su interés por mejorar la calidad de vida a través del apoyo a los aspectos educativos. El PRSE se caracteriza por el desarrollo de las fases de planificación, ejecución, monitoreo y evaluación, cada una de ellas con sus objetivos, responsables y lapsos de duración. Este plan permite realizar actividades más efectivas para generar vínculos entre las compañías mineras, los grupos de interés o stakeholders y las comunidades.

The practice of mining brings with it conflicts of interest with the communities in which they develop their processes. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the mining corporation, in Peru, becomes the formula through which the community, the State and the mining company can interact and achieve sustainable, responsible and positive relations in order to reduce the climate of conflict; as well as contribute to improve the quality of life of the people. This article presents the characteristics of a Corporate Social Responsibility Plan (CSRP) to address the needs detected in 25 workers of a mining corporation and 75 members of the surrounding community in which the corporation carries out its activities. The results show that the workers consider the need for more training and the community expresses its interest in improving the quality of life through support for educational aspects. The PRSE is characterized by the development of planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation phases, each with its own objectives, responsibilities and duration. This plan allows for more effective activities to generate links between mining companies, stakeholders and communities.
