Desafíos de la inclusión educativa en una zona rural de Cusco

Abstract
Este artículo visibiliza la problemática de los estudiantes con discapacidad en una zona rural de Cusco. Se determinan los desafíos de la inclusión educativa, considerando las barreras que afectan a esta población. La investigación original empleó una metodología cualitativa con un diseño de investigación-acción, aplicada a 27 familias y 5 docentes mediante una encuesta de escalas ordinales. Los resultados mostraron que la comunicación entre estudiantes e instituciones educativas era limitada, principalmente a través de teléfonos celulares convencionales, en un entorno con conectividad deficiente. Además, las familias vivían en condiciones de extrema pobreza, dedicándose a la agricultura, el comercio y trabajos eventuales, lo que hacía que la responsabilidad educativa recaiga mayoritariamente en las madres. Los docentes expresaron la necesidad de capacitación especializada y propusieron utilizar materiales impresos adecuados y adaptados a las necesidades de los estudiantes con discapacidad, como una forma de mitigar las barreras tecnológicas y económicas.
This article makes visible the problems of students with disabilities in a rural area of Cusco. The challenges of educational inclusion are determined, considering the barriers that affect this population. The results showed that communication between students and educational institutions was limited, mainly through conventional cell phones, in an environment with poor connectivity. In addition, the families lived in conditions of extreme poverty, being engaged in agriculture, commerce and casual labor, which meant that the educational responsibility fell mostly on the mothers. Teachers expressed the need for specialized training and proposed the use of appropriate printed materials adapted to the needs of students with disabilities as a way to mitigate technological and economic barriers.
