Abstract
La validez y confiabilidad en la evaluación de la conciencia fonológica son cruciales para medir efectivamente las habilidades de los niños. Con este objetivo, se evaluó su eficacia y confiabilidad. Se establecieron criterios para incluir solo estudios empíricos que reportaran validez (contenido, constructo y criterio) y confiabilidad (consistencia interna y estabilidad temporal). La revisión abarcó artículos publicados en inglés y español entre 2018 y 2023, utilizando bases de datos y combinaciones de palabras clave. Se eliminaron duplicados y se evaluaron títulos y resúmenes según los criterios establecidos. Los estudios seleccionados fueron analizados por su calidad metodológica, priorizando ensayos controlados aleatorios. Se identificó que la mayor tendencia estuvo relacionada con investigaciones experimentales, que resalta la importancia del enfoque en la evaluación de la conciencia fonológica. Se concluye que la evaluación de la conciencia fonológica en niños, respaldan que esta es fundamental para el desarrollo de la lectoescritura en los primeros años.
The validity and reliability in the assessment of phonological awareness are crucial for effectively measuring children's skills. With this objective, its effectiveness and reliability were evaluated. Criteria were established to include only empirical studies that reported validity (content, construct, and criterion) and reliability (internal consistency and temporal stability). The review covered articles published in English and Spanish between 2018 and 2023, using databases and combinations of keywords. Duplicates were removed, and titles and abstracts were evaluated according to the established criteria. The selected studies were analyzed for their methodological quality, prioritizing randomized controlled trials. It was identified that the greatest trend was related to experimental research, highlighting the importance of this approach in assessing phonological awareness. It is concluded that the assessment of phonological awareness in children supports its fundamental role in the development of literacy skills in early years.
