Análisis de las estrategias persuasivas en la novela griega

Abstract

Los protagonistas de la novela griega, indefensos en muchas ocasiones ante poderosos enemigos, recurren a menudo al engano de aquellos que atentan contra su vida o buscan imponerles su voluntad. Se desarrolla asi una retorica persuasiva, fundada en la presentacion de un ethos confiable del hablante, en el conocimiento del estado de animo del sujeto de poder (los pathe del oyente), y en la verosimilitud de la argumentacion (las tres pruebas aristotelicas). El proposito de este articulo es el analisis de las estrategias de manipulacion- de acuerdo con la teoria de la semiotica discursiva -empleadas por las protagonistas en Las aventuras de Quereas y Calirroe de Cariton de Afrodisia y en Las Etiopicas de Heliodoro de Emesa, ademas de una breve comparacion con Las aventuras de Leucipa y Clitofonte de Aquiles Tacio. Abstract Analysis of the Persuasive Strategies in the Greek Novel The main characters of the Greek Love Novel, defenseless in many occasions in front of powerful enemies, employ deceit against those who make attempts against their lives or attempt to subdue their wills. A persuasive rhetoric is deveeloped, based on the construction of a trustworthy ethos of the speaker, in the knowledge of the pathe of the hearer and in the plausibility of argumentation (the three Aristotelian proofs). This article tries to analyze the strategies of manipulation- considered from the perspective of the discoursive semioticsutilized by the heroines in Chariton Aphrodisiensis The adventures of Chereas and Calirhoe and in The Aethiopian Story of Heliodorus of Emesa, including a brief comparison with The adventures of Leukippe and Clitophon of Achiles Tatius.
