David Konstan y las emociones en el mundo antiguo.

Abstract

Sin duda, en el campo de los estudios de la Antiguedad clasica de estos ultimos anos, David Konstan es uno de los mas reconocidos investigadores, con numerosisimas publicaciones, entre ellas libros con los cuales ha marcado pautas sobre temas no siempre adecuadamente profundizados, como la novela de amor griega, en Sexual Symmetry: Love in Ancient Novel and Related Genres. El proposito de este articulo es ofrecer un panorama de sus producciones mas recientes, en un campo por el cual, desde distintas opticas se ha incrementado el interes: el universo emocional o pasional humano. Nuestra intencion es destacar los aportes mas significativos de D. Konstan en varios articulos y en el libro Pity transformed, cuyos temas son las emociones en el mundo antiguo, partiendo de las definiciones de la Retorica de Aristoteles. Abstract Without a doubt, in the field of the studies of the classic Antiquity of these last years, David Konstan of is one of the most recognized investigators, with a profusions of works, among them books with which he has set models on subjects not always suitably deepened, like the Greek novel of love, in Sexual Symmetry:Love in Ancient Novel and Related Genres. This paper intents to offer a survey of his more recent productions, in a field by which, from different views the interest has been increased: the emotional or passional universe of human beings. Our intention is to emphasize the most significant contributions of D. Konstan in several recent articles and in the book Pity transformed, whose subjects are the emotions in the ancient world, starting from the definitions and analysis of the Aristotle´s Rhetoric.
