It is considered an essential part of a nation's identity and historical memory. It can be divided into two main types:Tangible heritage: such as archaeological buildings, tools, paintings, and historical sites.Intangible heritage: such as customs and traditions, folktales, music, and traditional crafts.Heritage science is a field that focuses on studying the elements of tangible and intangible heritage, with the aim of preserving, documenting, and utilizing them in ways that contribute to strengthening identity and promoting sustainable development. The study deals with the Al-Kab archaeological area - in Aswan Governorate - its antiquities and civilization, which is one of the archaeological sites that needs great attention. The history of the Cape Antiquities Area begins from the ancient era and extends until the Arab eras, as the area is located within the course of the Nile River, its floodplain, its geographical location, and the desert land adjacent to the floodplain, which is what distinguishes the region and gives it a special advantage.
