La construcción de la ciencia económica: una mirada a partir de las contribuciones de los Premios Nobel
Abstract
La ciencia económica como tal es reciente, puesto que tiene menos de tres siglos y medio de antigüedad como tal. De ser una disciplina inicialmente filosófica, actualmente tiene instrumental lógico y matemático que la distingue de otras ciencias sociales. Su actual carácter fue forjado principalmente por las contribuciones de economistas de los últimos cien años. Desde 1969, el Premio Nobel de Economía no sólo ha reconocido el aporte de quienes crearon estos modelos de pensamiento, sino los descubrimientos realizados que hacen de la economía una ciencia como tal. Este artículo revisa cómo sus aportes han forjado las principales áreas del conocimiento económico, proveyendo una mirada global de la ciencia y sus tendencias.
Economic science as such is a recent field of study since it is less than three and a half centuries old as such. From being initially a philosophical discipline, it currently has logical and mathematical tools that distinguish it from other social sciences. Its current character was forged mainly by the contributions of economists of the last hundred years. Since 1969 the Nobel Prize in Economics has recognized the contribution of those who created these models of thought. Also, it credited the discoveries made that made economics a science.
