TEPAPH-EV: un instrumento para la evaluación de la percepción y de la producción del habla
Abstract
Este trabajo presenta el diseno de un test de rasgos distintivos para evaluar la percepcion y la produccion del habla en espanol venezolano. El TEPAPH-EV tiene su fundamento en la idea de que existe una correlacion entre el proceso de percepcion y el de produccion del habla en la que los distintos niveles de representacion del sistema interactuan simultaneamente en varias direcciones. El test esta constituido por 70 pares de palabras que difieren entre si por la presencia/ausencia de un mismo rasgo distintivo en su posicion significante, a excepcion del par rr/r. Se presentan los procesos de elaboracion y de aplicacion de los sub-tests que conforman el TEPAPH-EV. Para determinar la confiabilidad y conveniencia del test fueron aplicados procedimientos estadisticos. La evaluacion conjunta de los procesos de percepcion y de produccion del habla en espanol venezolano permite obtener datos mas precisos sobre las alteraciones de estos procesos del lenguaje, lo que asegura la identificacion y el tratamiento de los trastornos del habla. Abstract This paper presents the design of a distinctive features test to evaluate speech perception and production in Venezuelan Spanish. The TEPAPH-EV is based on the idea that there is a correlation between the processes of speech perception and production in which the different levels of representation of the linguistic system interact simultaneously and in several directions. The test consists of 70 pairs of words that differ in the presence/absence of the same distinctive feature in its significant position, with the exception of the pair rr/r. The elaboration and application processes of the sub-tests that shape the TEPAPH-EV are presented in the text. In order to determine the reliability and convenience of the test, statistical procedures were applied. The combined evaluation of the processes of speech perception and production in Venezuelan Spanish allows us to obtain more precise information on the alterations of these language processes, which assures the identification and the treatment of speech disorders.
