Las danzas de la independencia americana en el siglo XIX
Abstract
In the long process of gaining independence of Hispanic Continental America, between 1809 and 1825, marches and battles were not everything. Beatriz Rossells, a Bolivian anthropologist, describes in this article the dances of independence organized for San Martin, Bolivar, Sucre and other leaders in the cities they liberated, representative of the larger American homeland for which they were fighting.
