Abstract

En Miguel Acosta Saignes, el mundo africano y sus descendencias representaron un referente, sembrado desde su infancia en San Casimiro y Barlovento, hasta sus ultimos dias de sublime vision humana y de cientifico social comprometido. Esta contribucion aborda la mirada del Maestro hacia Africa, las experiencias vividas, y la defensa y promocion de iniciativas academicas en los estudios africanos ante la UNESCO y Venezuela.AbstractIn Miguel Acosta Saignes, the African world and its progeny represented a reference, from its childhood in San Casimiro and Barvolento until the last days of his last days of sublime human vision and of committed social scientist. This paper examines the Master’s view on Africa, the lived experiences, and the defense and promotion of academic initiatives in African studies at the UNESCO and in Venezuela.
