Abstract

The methodology used was a qualitative systematic review, 20 articles were selected between 2020 and 2024, using the PRISMA method. The evidence reviewed shows mixed results, 75.0% of the studies have found significant correlations between emotional intelligence and academic performance, suggesting that greater emotional capacity is associated with better performance, 15.0% found a moderate relationship and 10.0% did not. They detected none. Regardless of these divergences in findings, it is recognized that education must transcend the limits of the intellectual and essentially address the cultivation of emotional skills and self-esteem.
