Abstract

It is accepted that Trypanosoma cruzi during its life cycle presents different forms, each one with defined function, thus the cell division is fulfill for the epimastigote either in the invertebrates or in the culture medium and for the amastigote intracellular in the vertebrates; while the trypomastigotes have as function to change of cycle, from a host to another and are the infectant. These forms, as soon as they penetrate in the invertebrate or culture medium are transformed into epimastigotes (non infective), later on they return to trypomastigotes (infectant). We grew and isolate, in LIT and agar-LIT media, slender and stout forms of sanguicobus T cruzi from mice. We observed its development in both media; in LIT, different forms and cluster and in the agar-LIT strains, presented amastigotes, epimastigotes, trypomastigotes and cluster forms. We isolated each one of these forms of the parasite in agar-LIT we infected mice, therefore have proven in infectivity of each one of them in this vertebrate. Thus we observed infection by ah the forms generated by slender and stout forms of sanguicobus trypomastigote, without finding not-infectant forms. We discussed the differentiated forms an infective (trypomastigote) until another, considered as not infectant (epimastigote), but that in our experience it behaved as infectant.
