HERNIA DE SPIEGEL, ¿UN MITO O UNA REALIDAD?: NUESTRA PRIMERA EXPERIENCIA, A PROPÓSITO DE UN CASO

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es relatar un caso de Hernia de Spiegel, observado en el Hospital Municipal Los Pinos de La Paz, Bolivia, en una paciente femenina de 66 años; tras la revisión semiológica/topográfica abdominal y exámenes complementarios, se pudo llegar al diagnóstico mencionado. La Hernia de Spiegel es una entidad rara de difícil diagnóstico; por lo que se expondrá conocimientos no solo históricos, teóricos y prácticos sobre esta patología, sino su etiopatogenia, clasificación y la terapéutica actualizada y/o estandarizada, que implica tomar en cuenta una vez diagnosticada. En la literatura nacional, tras la revisión sistemática, no se han encontrado escritos sobre esta patología y justamente esta es una buena manera de iniciar el levantamiento epidemiológico y casuístico de esta variedad rara y poco frecuente de hernias de la pared abdominal.

The aim of this article is to describe a case of Spigelian Hernia, observed in the Hospital Municipal Los Pinos of La Paz - Bolivia, in a 66-year-old female patient; After abdominal semiological/topographic revision and examinations, could be reached to the mentioned diagnostic. Of Spigelian Hernia is a rare entity of difficult diagnosis; by what will be exposed not only historical, theoretical, and practical knowledge about this pathology, but its etiology, classification and therapeutic updated and/or standardized, which involves taking into account once diagnosed. In the national literature, following a systematic review, no found writings about this disease and this isjust a good way to start the uprising epidemiological and case of this rare variety and very rare of hernias of the abdominal wall.
