dc.description.abstractThe article makes a characterization of the main socio-environmental conflicts in theCosta Rican Caribbean in the period 2006-2012. This process will be presented from amain conflict between the state and local villagers, who maintain several disputes abouta series of policies that modify the forms of land tenure and the lack of regulations in systemsof pineapple and banana monoculture.
