Contribuciones al desarrollo de metaanálisis en educación superior en Bolivia

Abstract

El artículo teórico o ensayo académico lleva por título "Contribuciones al desarrollo de metaanálisis en educación superior en Bolivia" en el que se expone los resultados de la búsqueda de contribuciones puntuales al campo de estudio. Se parte del hecho de que el metaanálisis nació en el área de la educación y por ello se espera un desarrollo significativo en tanto productos elaborados, aportes y desarrollos teóricos y prácticos. El metaanálisis es una síntesis estadística de varias investigaciones con problemas comunes, lo que aumenta su fiabilidad y potencia en cuanto a la interpretación de sus hallazgos. El objetivo general del presente artículo fue determinar la existencia de metaanálisis en educación superior, las instituciones que le dan soporte y las contribuciones (recursos y herramientas) más precisos para su desarrollo; como objetivos específicos se buscó establecer la definición conceptual y condiciones metodológicas para su realización; destacar estudios de metaanálisis; identificar centros de postgrado que dan soporte a la realización de investigaciones de metaanálisis y aportar con recursos y herramientas más precisas para el desarrollo de metaanálisis en educación superior. Respecto a los resultados obtenidos, en Bolivia no hay trabajos de este tipo de investigaciones en educación superior. En este contexto, las universidades e instituciones de postgrado como el CEPIES pueden aportar al desarrollo de estos estudios. Como conclusión, se ratifica la importancia de promover los estudios de metaanálisis en educación superior por el importante aporte en cuanto a sistematización y estudios cuantitativos comparados.

The theoretical article or academic paper is entitled "Contributions to the development of meta-analysis in higher education in Bolivia," which presents the results of the search for specific contributions to the field of study. It is based on the fact that meta-analysis originated in the field of education and, therefore, significant development is expected in terms of products, contributions, and theoretical and practical developments. Meta-analysis is a statistical synthesis of several studies with common problems, which increases its reliability and power in terms of the interpretation of its findings. The general objective of this article was to determine the existence of meta-analysis in higher education, the institutions that support it, and the most precise contributions (resources and tools) for its development. Specific objectives included establishing the conceptual definition and methodological conditions for its implementation; highlighting meta-analysis studies; identifying postgraduate centers that support meta-analysis research; and contributing more precise resourcesand toolsforthe development of meta-analysis in higher education. Regarding the results obtained, there are no studies of this type in higher education in Bolivia. In this context, universities and postgraduate institutions such as CEPIES can contribute to the development of these studies. In conclusion, the importance of promoting meta-analysis studies in higher education is confirmed due to their significant contribution in terms of systematization and comparative quantitative studies.
