Insurgencia detrás de la enseñanza de la lengua de los atacameños

Abstract

Este artículo examina las prácticas insurgentes de los atacameños que buscan enseñar el ckunza, lengua extinta según expertos y el Estado chileno. Los atacameños crean la academia de la lengua ckunza y la enseñan en la comunidad. Así recuperan el ckunza decolonizando las epistemes impuestas por el Estado neoliberal y retoman su autorregulación lingüística y educativa. Finalmente, rescatan saberes ancestrales de la investigación indígena y legitiman la representación identitaria por medio de su lengua.

This article examines the insurgent practices of the people of Atacama who seek to teach Ckunza, a language which is extinct according to experts and the Chilean State. The Atacameños create the academy of the Ckunza language and teach the language in the community. Thus they revive Ckunza decolonising the episteme imposed by the neo-liberal State and taking up their linguistic and educational self-regulation. Finally, their recovery of ancestral knowledge through indigenous research and legitimise the representation of identity through their language.
