Immediate implant placement after dental extraction is presented as an alternative to the conventional procedure because it can reduce time in post-operative therapy, and can also help preserve alveolar structures which may suffer from alveolar bone loss after dental extraction. This article is a bibliographic review of implant placement protocol which includes classification of techniques, a review of the advantages afforded by immediate implant placement, and the various considerations that should be made when implants are placed immediately after dental extraction. This study mentions one manual technique and one ultrasonic technique used in placing immediate implants; these techniques can preserve dental alveolar integrity by providing the stability which will lead to a successful outcome.<
