Study of sediments present in the environment that govern a sedimentary cycle allows obtaining information about its origin, distance traveled along its motion and conditions at the moment of deposition. In short, they demonstrate the mechanics and dynamics of the processes developed until they form deposits. In this research work, granulometric and heavy ore analysis are carried out to samples obtained from high and medium Chama River basin silts, taken in slopes and channels flowing from Mifafi moor, to Las Heroinas area, in Merida city. From realized analyses mineral associations are obtained that bear to find the litology used to identify and correlate formations, associations and groups and to indicate the silt source localization and the conditions before, during and after their sedimentation cycles.
