Malas prácticas en la escritura científica

Abstract

La comunicación de la ciencia implica el desarrollo de habilidades, siendo una de ellas, la escritura científica. Por tal motivo, todo investigador y todo científico necesita adquirir y desarrollar este tipo de habilidades. De forma paralela, se hace imperativa la formación ética, la generación de una conciencia crítica y un acentuado perfil técnico que le permita comunicar sus hallazgos de manera rigurosa en revistas de alto impacto científico sin recurrir a prácticas indeseables que dañan el patrimonio de la ciencia. Este trabajo tiene como propósito detallar la manifestación de malas prácticas en la escritura científica que permita a un investigador identificarlas y cuidarse de incurrir en ellas, comprendiendo que algunas de estas conductas son intencionales y otras ocurren por desconocimiento de quien en ellas incurre. Finalmente, este trabajo entrega sugerencias para prevenir y detectar malas prácticas en la escritura científica

The communication of science involves the development of skills, one of them being scientific writing. For this reason, every researcher and scientist needs to acquire and develop these skills. At the same time, ethical training, the generation of a critical conscience and an accentuated technical profile that allows him/her to communicate his/her findings in a rigorous manner in journals of high scientific impact without resorting to undesirable practices that damage the heritage of science are imperative. The purpose of this work is to detail the manifestation of bad practices in scientific writing that will allow a researcher to identify them and beware of incurring in them, understanding that some of these behaviors are intentional and others occur due to ignorance of the person who incurs in them. Finally, this work provides suggestions to prevent and detect bad practices in scientific writing
