Abstract

The big cinematographic genre of Science-Fiction and also the sub-genre of Dystopia, functions under certain audio-visual stable parameters, using narratives, aesthetics and thematic recognizable recourses; all of those vulnerable to the analytic look. But, both the Science Fiction genre and the Dystopia sub-genre, has developed changes or modalities of every historic contexts, affecting their aesthetics and conceptual betting. But, while the Dystopia sub-genre develops inside the big cinematographic genre of Science-Fiction, we can observe a breakage in the genre basis, abandoning the futuristic scenarios to turn, aesthetically and ethically, into the spectator contemporaneity. For all that, this investigation looks to get into the analysis of the dystopic expressions segmented into decades to open the possibility to understand the Dystopic sub-genre like a tool of the critical discourse that functions as chronicle of the postmodern society. Breaking the Science-Fiction film genre basis, changing the basic argument of the hypothetically future to the dangerous present
