This essay presents a reflection on the role that the University Social Responsibility can play in the construction of a society for all ages, concept proposed by the United Nations (1995a; 2003) and inspired by the principles of respect, protection, intergenerational solidarity and inclusion of older people. For years, the older people represented an excluded and socially stigmatized minority group. By virtue of the fact that scientific and technological advances have made it possible to extend life, the progressive increase in the number of older people worldwide has led to the creation of policies in favor of the respect and social equality, which slow down the reproduction and perpetuation of discriminatory or ageist practices that lead to social exclusion of this group. In this context, the ethical and socially responsible management, of the university with their environment, it’sa key factor for the development of fairer societies for all ages.
