The warlike confrontations of an armed conflict such as the Colombian one have generated human rights affectations that provide reasons to investigate the type of damage to constitutionally and conventionally protect. This text focuses on the violations of the right to memory, and on possible remedies with the potential to repair their violations, especially the right to memory. To this end, the use of children's literature is explored as a resource that makes possible the transition from a traumatic memory to a healthy one. For this purpose, a qualitative research was developed following the hermeneutic method, the documentary strategy, and an analysis oriented by categorization, structuring and contrasting. It is concluded that children's literature is a strategy that makes viable the guarantee of the right to memory, which implies recognizing that the literary text is not only a resource to preserve the memory of what happened in the conflict, but also allows to promote dialogue, openness to questions and understanding of what happened also as a guarantee of non-repetition and contribution to the truth.
