dc.description.abstractThe archaeological heritage as a social asset to be protected is irreplaceable, and whose proper management generates benefits to the society of the country is paramount. For this reason, is to establish the bases of sustainable management that link heritage with urban and rural development, with local communities and cultural agents, tourism and intercultural projects. In this sense, museums constitute one of the most dynamic channels in the conservation and diffusion of the national heritage and for that reason, it is considered central agents in the very life of the nation. In line with the above, it is confirm that in order to preserve the heritage in the short or long term, and ensure that the Pinar del Rio residents know their heritage, and appropriate their history, the creation of the permanent room “Archaeological Sites of Pinar del Rio” could be an efficient tool. In this medium, procedures and methods have been implemented to meet the needs of conservation, valorization, research and dissemination of cultural from the aboriginal’s history of the province, bearing in mind that the main functions of the museum will be: to register, to investigate, to document, to preserve, to communicate, Disseminate, educate and serve the community.
