dc.description.abstractIn order to know the conceptions of fourth year students of General Media Education about mole and quantity of substance, the research was carried out in the Liceo Bolivariano Ejido, Campo Elias municipality, Merida state, Venezuela, the informants were twenty-eight students among 14 and 17 years old. Considering the interpretative paradigm, qualitative approach, descriptive type, field design and case study modality, The findings obtained through the technique of observation and interview, using a questionnaire, I glimpse misconceptions in the construction of the concept of mole and quantity of substance without establishing relations between them, together with the strategies of the teacher, having a negative impact on the following topics since they are not significant for the students.
