Abstract
El Síndrome de Takotsubo (STT) es una enfermedad cardiaca que se caracteriza por una disfunción repentina del ventrículo izquierdo. Se suele desencadenar por estrés emocional o físico. El diagnóstico se basa en los resultados encontrados en la clínica, el electrocardiograma y el ecocardiograma. Se presenta un caso, de una paciente femenina, postmenopáusica, con multimorbilidad, clasificada con STT de tipo secundario, que se recuperó completamente con manejo hospitalario y se encuentra con seguimiento y controles periódicos a nivel ambulatorio en el servicio de medicina familiar y cardiología.
Takotsubo Syndrome (TTS) is a cardiac condition characterized by a sudden dysfunction of the left ventricle. It is often triggered by emotional or physical stress. Diagnosis is based on clinical findings, electrocardiogram, and echocardiogram results. We present a case of a postmenopausal female patient with multimorbidity, classified with secondary TTS, who fully recovered with hospital management and is currently undergoing follow-up and periodic monitoring on an outpatient basis in the family medicine and cardiology service.
