Abstract
The research establishes teachers' digital competencies as a relevant element of the teaching and learning process. The objective was to relate both variables through a correlational study. In the case of digital competencies, two tools were used, the "DigCompEdu" and the "DigCompEdu Check-In" applied to 35 teachers and 11 students, and for the teaching and learning process, the estimated average grades of 11 students per course for a total of 385 grades in the subject of writing and text comprehension. A significant association was evidenced between the level of digital competencies of teachers and the average grade of students; likewise, between the level of perception by students of the digital competencies of teachers and the average grade of students. In short, there is an interdependence between teachers' digital competencies and the teaching-learning process.
