Una mirada beauvoiriana a los asuntos de mujeres en la prensa. Del eterno femenino a la apropiación del mundo
Abstract
En 1995 se celebró en Beijing la Cuarta Conferencia Mundial sobre la Mujer, estableciéndose doce áreas críticas como impedimento para la ciudadanía de las mujeres. En este trabajo revisamos específicamente lo referido a la responsabilidad social de los medios de comunicación en cuanto a la difusión de roles y estereotipos de mujeres y varones que resultan en obstáculos. Para nuestra discusión seguimos las pistas de Simone de Beauvoir a partir de su Segundo Sexo, que nos sirve de guía en espejo para analizar los discursos que predominan en la prensa gráfica, los temas que allí resultan controvertidos y las estrategias desplegadas por los diferentes medios para el refuerzo/instauración de una visión tradicional del papel de las mujeres en la sociedad.
In 1995 the Fourth World Conference on the Woman was celebrated in Beijing. There, twelve critical areas were established as impediment for the citizenship of the women. In this work we check specifically recounted to the social responsibility of the mass media for the diffusion of roles and stereotypes of women and males who result in obstacles in this way. For our discussion we continue Simone de Beauvoir's tracks in all that her Second Sex, which serve us, as a guide in mirror to analyze the speeches that prevail in the printing press, the topics that there turn out to be controversial and the strategies opened by the different means for the reinforcement / restoration of a traditional vision of the role of the women in the society.
