dc.description.abstractThis article describes a procedural way for which it is proposed resignify the Institutional Education Project (PEI in spanish) of an educational establishment belonging to a rural community. Research used a mixed character action research design, appropriating and involving the participation of the educational community to the investigation of sociocultural practices and knowledge of teachers, parentss and students. In relation to the information provided by participants, sociocultural practices were classified into economic practices, school practices and recreational practices; also sociocultural knowledge, were classified as formal and informal knowledge. The findings were grouped and referred to situations in school life, academic habits in students, activities for the use of free time, satisfaction whit region and institution, relevance and satisfaction with agricultural training offered by the Institution; all checked against IEP (PEI in spanish) of the educational establishment in order to identify those aspects that should be taken into account for the resignifying.
