Abstract
Dado que la motivación desempeña un papel esencial en el proceso de aprendizaje, y la comprensión lectora constituye una habilidad fundamental en el desarrollo educativo de los estudiantes, esta investigación se centró en el propósito fundamental de establecer una relación entre la motivación de logro y la comprensión lectora en estudiantes de tercer grado de secundaria en el distrito de Huarmaca. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal y análisis correlacional, recolectando datos de 32 estudiantes mediante la administración de un cuestionario que evaluó ambas variables. Los resultados demostraron que tanto la motivación de logro como la comprensión lectora, incluyendo sus dimensiones, alcanzaron niveles considerables; en particular, la motivación de logro obtuvo un nivel alto, y la comprensión lectora se situó en una categoría de nivel bueno. Además, se validó la existencia de una relación significativa entre la motivación de logro y la comprensión lectora, respaldada por un coeficiente de correlación de Pearson de 0.429* con un valor p de 0.014. Por lo tanto, se concluyó que la motivación de logro guarda una asociación positiva con la comprensión lectora en los estudiantes de tercer grado de secundaria en Huarmaca.
Since motivation plays an essential role in the learning process, and reading comprehension constitutes a fundamental skill in the educational development of students, this research focused on the fundamental purpose of establishing a relationship between achievement motivation and reading comprehension in third grade high school students in the district of Huarmaca. A descriptive cross-sectional study and correlational analysis was conducted, collecting data from 32 students by administering a questionnaire that assessed both variables. The results showed that both achievement motivation and reading comprehension, including their dimensions, reached considerable levels; in particular, achievement motivation obtained a high level, and reading comprehension was placed in a good level category. Furthermore, the existence of a significant relationship between achievement motivation and reading comprehension was validated, supported by a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.429* with a p-value of 0.014. Therefore, it was concluded that achievement motivation has a positive association with reading comprehension in third grade high school students in Huarmaca.
