dc.description.abstractThis investigation is un historiographic study of “El Dorado” myth and its entailment with the process of exploration, conquest and colonization of Tachira.For analize the states of myth's evolution in that place, there were taken “Alfinger's treasure” myth and the burials of gold that were done by landowners in his coffee farms. It was studied the consequences of the search for gold in the imaginary of the people from the foundation of the towns in Tachira to the present.
