E-paciente y ética médica en las redes sociales E-patient and medical ethics in social networks

Abstract

El presente ensayo tuvo como objetivo disertar sobre la relacion medico-paciente como hecho social en la era de las redes sociales desde un punto de vista etico. La mayor interconexion a traves de la web 2.0 entre individuos y grupos de pacientes y medicos, que anteriormente no se presentaba en las mismas relaciones sociales, conlleva a nuevas situaciones y cambios culturales. Hoy es posible una formacion integral del ser, gracias al mayor acceso a informacion que puede convertirse en conocimiento, con el fin de mejorar la calidad de vida y sobre todo la salud de la poblacion. Se determinan los beneficios de la salud online y el e-paciente como nuevo actor del sector salud. Si tanto medicos como pacientes tienen acceso a la misma informacion, los primeros deben mantener los principios eticos que ayuden a conservar la confianza, confidencialidad y credibilidad en cuanto a datos digitales personales y la ciencia medica, confirmando que los avances tecnologicos 2.0 han contribuido a una mejor calidad de vida en las personas antes que a degradarla. The present essay had the objective to discuss the doctor-patient relationship as a social fact in the era of social networks from an ethical point of view. The greater interconnection through web 2.0 between individuals and groups of patients and medical, which previously did not appear in the same social relationships, brings to new situations and cultural changes. Nowadays, it is possible the integral formation of the being, thanks to the greater access to the information susceptible of becoming knowledge, in order to improve the quality of life and above all the health of the population. The benefits of online health and the e-patient as a new actor in the health sector are determined. If doctors and patients have access to the same information, the first must maintain the ethical principles that help to preserve the trust, confidentiality and credibility of personal digital data and medical science, confirming that 2.0 technological advances have contributed to improve the quality of people's lives before they degrade it.
