Abstract
El artículo analiza la elección de las y los asambleístas indígenas de Santa Cruz, su gestión legislativa y su relación con sus bases y organizaciones entre enero de 2021 y junio de 2022. La investigación, a través de la revisión bibliográfica y hemerográfica, las entrevistas y el registro de observación no participante, identifica que las dificultades en la participación y representación política de los pueblos indígenas fueron ocasionados en ese periodo por la crisis orgánica que atraviesan la mayoría de las organizaciones indígenas en el departamento de Santa Cruz, la intromisión de los partidos políticos en dichas organizaciones, la falta de una agenda legislativa en común en la banca indígena en la asamblea departamental y la inexistencia de mandatos orgánicos claros para los representantes de los pueblos indígenas, entre otras causas
