Abstract
Human sexuality is a fundamental subject in the individual formation since according to the knowledge on that subject will be the behavior to follow; therefore it is important to improve the sexuality knowledge, especially in the phase of criteria formation such as adolescence. The objective of this work was to find the degree of adolescents information on sexuality and the changes in knowledge after having an education programmed on the subject through Participative techniques. This is a descriptive applied field study carried out in Liceo Simon Bolivar (High School), San Cristobal city, Tachira State. The sample were 300 adolescents between 13 and 18 years old, from third year of general secondary school and fourth year (Sciences) which is 65% of the total students. A questionnaire with 30 questions of direct and close answers was taken. One section of first year and one of third year were chosen at random to carry out with them 10 workshops on different aspects of adolescents sexuality, before and after each workshops a pre- and post- test was taken. The results were analyzed by the comparison of two means no independent, applying the test of the normal modified curve. Seven of the 10 workshops showed significant statistical differences meaning that the knowledge acquired and discussed in the workshops modified and improved the concepts and criteria of adolescents about sexuality. Three months after applied, the results showed no statistical differences with the answers of the post-workshop questionnaire, which means that the acquired knowledge remains as stable as when the workshop finished.
